Even though we only use natural organic ingredients, we still recommend that you conduct a skin test, simply apply the Henna to a small area first and leave for 24 hrs

INSTRUCTIONS
Henna looks different on everyone. Body chemistry, temperature and location on the body have a lot to do with how dark the stain will be.  The skin on the hands and feet stains much darker than the softer skin on the upper arm or back. Henna stains are darkest during the first 7-10 days, and then gradually fade.

APPLICATION
Please make sure your desired area is clean and dry before application.
Gently roll the cone in the palms of your hands. This will ensure that the paste is fully mixed and ready to use.
Carefully remove the pin from the tip of your cone, or if it does not have a pin, with a pair of scissors snip a small section off the tip of the Henna Cone.
Apply the Henna by gently squeezing the henna cone from the middle to the desired area of body.  Most people prefer to hold the henna cone like you would hold a writing pen.

LEAVE PASTE ON AS LONG AS POSSIBLE
It is recommended to leave the paste on at least 2-3 hours or more. The longer the paste stays on the skin, the darker the stain will be.
After the first 45min to hour once you think that the henna has started to dry but not crack, dab a piece of cotton in sugar and lemon juice apply lightly on the designs so the henna further darkens to a reddish-brown hue that can last for weeks. (It’s good to repeat this as many times as you can before allowing then henna to completely dry)
Once the Henna is dry it will start to crack and fall off the applied area, carefully remove all Henna without using any liquid.  You can do this with your fingertips by gently brushing off the dried Henna.  Do not wash the applied area at this stage.
Use olive oil to lightly massage over the applied area and leave for approximately an hour, this again will help darken the Henna stain
Then finally rinse with warm water

HEAT AND MOISTURE HELP
The warmer the body temperature, the faster the henna will stain. If you are cold, try drinking something hot before you start. Gently steaming the area while the paste is on also helps.

MOISTURISE
Apply some kind of natural oil or butter after the paste is removed to protect henna design and prevent ex-foliation. A lot of store bought moisturisers contain chemicals that can prematurely lighten the stain, so it's best to use something natural. Avoid moisturisers with fruit acids (Alpha-Hydroxyl Acid) or bleaching agents.
Please remember, henna body art is not an exact science. Everyone stains differently due to countless variables. If you follow the above guidelines, your henna stain should last 1-3 weeks depending on body location and after-care.
