Soda ash ( Sodium Carbonate Anhydrous Granular) Dye fixer for Fibre reactive Dyeing

Soda ash is a fixing agent used in the Procion Mx dying process.

Recommend for use with our Procion fibre reactive dyes, available for purchase in our Etsy store.

HOW WE USE SODA ASH:
Mix with water and soak fabric in the solution.
Take out the fabric and squeeze out excess liquid.
Now your fabric is ready to apply your dye.

REMEMBER; you can re use your liquid soda ash solution for as long as it stays relatively clear of dyes. We keep ours in a sealed container for continued use.

We recommend leaving items for 6-72 hours prior to rinsing.

Please see our own measurements for mixing below, but please note that this can vary slightly based on the PH level of your water.
128g powder soda ash: 5 litres water
256g powder soda ash: 10 litres water

Soda ash powder can also be added directly to liquid dye however we prefer the above method. Adding soda to your liquid dye causes it to expire at a faster rate.
