*** Please note that as stated in the item specifics as well as the item description, the ring is made of a brass metal. This is not tarnish proof. Therefore the ring will tarnish. This can happen quicker if the ring is subjected to excessive contact with natural human oils produced by the skin (ie, worn constantly or worn in the shower or worn when hand washing etc). These conditions are also heightened by moisturisers and soaps etc. Hygiene regiments recommend that all jewellery be removed prior to washing, regardless of the metal. A widely used tip for brass metal jewellery is to add a thin coating of clear nail varnish to your item. This will create a protective barrier around the metal and will delay and tarnish. The nail varnish coating is not permanent and will wear off in time so keep an eye on when it may need a top up coat, if you choose to do this.
